i started writing again after the passing of my best friend in 2021. losing someone i deeply love inspired this space to challenge the societal understanding of grief, the concept that time goes on.

the space in time and presence where the circumstances that have brought on loss to so many has not changed, it has also been intensified.

iwritelyrically is essays on grief, connection, and analysis on societal systems impact the way we live our lives. its purpose is unraveling and breaking down what we've been taught, and being still in space of curiosity and exploration:

who gets to grieve? who gets to be mourned? for how long? life goes on for whom?
